The concept is simple: when the ambient light isn’t what you need, thread on the appropriate Alumina accessory and change the way you look at the world. Are the conditions hazy, with the blue light that scatters off dust and pollen in the air? Thread on an Alumina Intensifier™ YL™. Need to tone down sunny spots on a bright, partly-cloudy day? Thread on your Alumina Intensifier BZ™. Is it raining? Thread on your RainCote™ lens protector. Create your own combinations as well to achieve the effect you need for the conditions. Finally, thread on an Alumina rubber eyepiece guard, protective lens covers or flip-back lens covers for transport.

Alumina Intensifier YL (Yellow) ($29.99 with any optic purchase, $43 without optic purchase) cuts blue light that is predominant in dusty, hazy conditions. You’ll see sharper details and brighter, better defined images. It also brightens a dull image on a cloudy day and darkens soft gray shadows for better contrast. The Intensifier YL also eliminates the violet and blue light rays seen in a halo at the edge of black areas of a target. You’ll see a crisp black edge of both target outlines and bullet holes in paper. It even makes game animals easier to spot from cover on bright and hazy days.

Alumina Optimizer™ OP™ (not sold separately) works great alone or when stacked with Intensifier YL, BZ, or OG™ to magnify their effects. It optimizes the image by cutting out contributors to muddy coloring, so the red tone so common in game coat colors stands out with greater contrast to the surroundings. Even timber looks sharper, making it easy to identify animal shapes. In addition, the Alumina Optimizer is ideal for increasing contrast of black targets against a natural background.

Alumina Intensifier OG (Orange) (not sold separately) increases color brightness and alters coloration to increase contrast and cut haze, reducing blues and greens to lift reds and yellows out of a scene. Coupled with the Optimizer, this enhancer provides the most significant game contrast improvement in late morning through early afternoon lighting, especially on bright, cloudy days.

Alumina Intensifier BZ (Bronze) (not sold separately) re-balances colors to enhance reds, toning down brightly lit areas without significantly dimming surrounding, cooler colors, and amplifying the differences between foliage and game animals. It also makes white targets used in silhouette competitions stand out against the background.

This kit includes several different intensifiers for various conditions, each helping to enhance the visibility of game animals and targets. Included in the kit are the Alumina Intensifier BZ (bronze), the Intensifier OG (orange), the Optimizer, and the IS-Stacker (protective cover). The IS-Stacker provides a compact, durable storage device for the Alumina Intensifier Kit components. Thread your intensifiers and optimizer together with the IS-Stacker front and rear covers to form a durable, protective capsule that can be tossed into a pack or pocket and retrieved as needed. The component of the stacker marked with the circle-”L” Leupold medallion can double as a protective lens cover for your riflescope as well.

Leupold Alumina 50-foot Focus Adapter ($49.99 with any optic purchase,  $59 without scope purchsese) is excellent for gallery shooting, and fits post-2004 40mm adjustable objective scopes.

Alumina RainCote™ Kit ($79.99 with any optic purchase, $104 without scope purchase)
The idea is simple — you wear a rain coat when it’s raining, not when it’s sunny. When the conditions are wet and the traveling is going to be rough, take along the Alumina RainCote Kit. RainCote water shedding lens protectors are specially coated, so that water instantly sheds off the lens surface, reducing the glare from water droplets. Water spot staining is reduced too, minimizing repeated cleanings that can damage the lens. Finally RainCote lens covers are replaceable, so after years of wear and tear, a new cover will give your Leupold riflescope a fresh layer of protection.

RainCote water shedding lens protectors are included for both objective lenses and eyepieces. Also included is the Alumina RS Stacker, a compact, protective storage device for the Alumina RainCote Kit components that you can carry in a pocket or pack.

RainCote helps quickly eliminate fog from exterior lenses. In addition, vision obstructing water droplets are quickly shed with RainCote.

Alumina Flip-Back Lens Covers ($36 ea with any optic purchase, $46 ea without scope purchase)  feature powerful neodymium magnets to hold them securely closed and triple O-ring seals for maximum protection from the elements. Their machined-aluminum precision construction, quick and easy operation, and a low-profile position when open make our flip-back lens covers stand above the rest.

Alumina flip-back lens covers are available in a variety of sizes for both eyepieces and objectives.

Alumina Threaded Lens Covers ( $9.99 with any optic purchase, $13 without scope purchase) are machined aluminum, low-profile, thread-in, knurled disks that protect your valuable optics from scratches and debris.

Alumina Rubber Eyepiece Guard ($14.99 with any optic purchase, $19 without scope purchase)  – Adds a soft, finishing touch to the eyepiece of your scope to protect you from recoil during extreme uphill shooting angles and from heavy recoiling firearms. They also shade the eyepiece to improve viewing comfort. Two models to fit all Leupold eyepieces.

Alumina Lens Shades ($25 with any optic purchase, $39 without scope purchase)  (2.5" and 4" lengths) can be threaded together to create custom lengths. Models to fit pre-2004 scopes are also available.
